Anyone can roll paint on a wall. The reason ours still looks sharp three years later is the day nobody sees us work - sanding glossy trim dull, filling every nail hole, caulking the seams, and wiping the dust so the finish has something to grip. We tape lines by hand, cut in by brush, and lay two full coats every time. When we pull the tape on the last evening, the edge is a razor and the floor is swept. That's the whole job.
